Bhargava: What is awareness and how can one obtain and cultivate it? 

Bhagavan: You are awareness. Awareness is another name for you. Since you are awareness there is no need to attain or cultivate it. 

All that you have to do is to give up being aware of other things, that is of the not-Self. If one gives up being aware of them then pure awareness alone remains, and that is the Self.”

The World of Enlightenment

When finally we awaken, after having cultivated the mind in

order to become free from the sufferings of birth and death, the

sea of suffering of the six regions will vanish. Sentient beings

conceive that the sea of suffering of the six regions exists in

reality, but this is wrong. While dreaming we perceive the

dream world as existing in reality too, but at the moment of

awakening from sleep we recognize it to be illusion. So, in the

same way, when the mind is deluded we wrongly perceive that

the sea of illusion exists, but if we awaken to the Mind, we

clearly understand it to be illusory.

The eyes of the enlightened man who has awakened to the true

nature which is absolutely unchanging, have direct insight into

the great Truth of the universe. He has transcended the three

time - periods of past, present and future; and by transcending

both time and space he is not obstructed by being or non-being:

this is called liberation.

 He sees all phenomena in the universe through the Great Perfect Mirror Wisdom, in the same manner as a mirror reflects everything in creation. 

He is without contamination or attachments; he is like white clouds over green mountains or falling rain on the blue sea. By staying

within the mind of non-action (wu-wei), he has followed the

stream and reached the marvel; he is vast and boundless. This is

the man who is without any obstructions. All relativity is ended

here; birth doesn’t matter and death doesn’t matter. Everyone is

Vairocana Buddha and all is a store of flowers. There is nothing

which is not sacred. One name for such a man is ‘a person who

is beyond all things’.

II श्री परमपूज्य सद्‌गुरू समर्थ राऊळमहाराज II

कोकण ही संतरत्नांची खाण म्हटले जाते.वैविध्यपुर्ण सौंदर्य संपन्न कोकणात बरेच संतमहात्मे होऊन गेले. कुडाळ तालुक्यातील पिंगुळी गाव तसे कळसुत्री बाहुल्या, आणि ठाकर समाजाने जतन केलेल्या बर्याच लोककला मुळे प्रसिद्ध आहे.हेच गाव पिंगुळीतील थोर अवलिया संत राऊळ महाराजांमुळे प्रकाशझोतात आले.

सिंधुदूर्ग जिल्हातील कुडाळ तालुक्यातील पिंगुळी या लहानशा खेडेगावात जन्माला आलेले हे पिंगुळीचे ब्रम्हयोगी असा हा दत्ताचा अवतार म्हणजे परमपूज्य श्रीसमर्थ राऊळमहाराज. लहानपणापासून परमार्थाकडे ओढा असलेले हे सद्‌गुरू नामस्मरणात रंगून जात. ज्ञानेश्वरी त्यांना मुखोद्‌गत होती. ते १९४५ ते १९७२ अशी २७ वर्ष कठोर ध्यानसाधना एका छोट्‌याशा खोलीत, एकावेळी २ ते ३ महिने काहीही प्राशन न करता करत असत. त्या काळात जगात ‘आई श्रेष्ठ’ याचेच प्रबोधन ते जास्त करत आणि तीच शिकवण परमपूज्य श्रीसमर्थ अण्णामहाराज आज भक्तजनांना देतात.

पिंगुळी क्षेत्री परमपूज्य श्री समर्थ महाराजांनी जांनी ज्या छोटया खोलीत ध्यानधारणा केली, तेथेच परमपूज्य श्री समर्थ राऊळमहाराज समाधिस्त झाले आणि परमपूज्य श्री समर्थ अण्णामहाराजांनी राऊळबाबांचे समाधीमंदिर तेथेच उभारले आहे. या समाधीमंदिर व श्रीदेवी माउली मंदिर या दोघांच्या मध्ये उभा असलेला औदुंबर वॄक्ष परमपूज्य श्री समर्थ राऊळमहाराजांच्या ध्यानसाधनेचा आणि परमपूज्य श्री समर्थ अण्णामहाराजांच्या आजपपर्यंतच्या ५८ वर्षांचा आध्यात्मिक प्रवासाचा साक्षी आहे.

सर्वसामान्य माणसासारखे एका गरिब शेतकरी कुटुंबात जन्म झालेले कृष्णा उर्फ आबा राऊळ पिंगुळी ग्रामदेवता रवळनाथ देवस्थानचे मानकरी होते.घरच्या गरबीमुळे ते नोकरीसाठी मुंबईला आले.त्याना भजन गाण्याचा छंद होता.ज्ञानेश्वर तुकारामादी संताचे अभंग मुखोद्गत होते.काम करताना आपल्या पहाडी आवाजात सतत मुखांने  अभंग गात असत.संसारात विरक्ती आली आणि ते विश्वात्मक वृत्तीतुन संसारी लोकांना भक्तीमार्गाकडे वळवण्यासाठी मार्गदर्शन करु लागले. शिक्षण कमी असले तरी त्यांचे पाठांतर चांगले असे.त्यानां ज्ञानेश्वरी मुखोद्गत होती.त्यांनी भक्तांसाठी बरेच चमत्कार केले.भक्तांची संकटे दुर केली.

भक्तासाठी पंढरीच्या विठ्ठलाचे आपल्यात दर्शन घडवले.कित्येक भक्तांना ज्ञानेश्वरी ग्रंथ देऊन त्यांचे करवी पारायणे करवुन घेतली.त्या़नी लावलेले औंदुबर वृक्षाचे रोप आज मोठ्या वृक्षात रुपांतरीत झाले.त्यांचा भक्त संप्रदाय खुप मोठा आहे.मुंबई महाराष्ट्र,गोवा कर्नाटक या राज्यातुन आजही पिंगुळी गावी समाधी स्थानी भक्त मंडळी येतात.समाधीस्थानी नतमस्तक होतात.अशा या सद्गुरू राऊळ महाराजांनी इंचगिरीच्या गिरीमल्लेश्वर संप्रदायाच्या बाळकृष्ण महाराजांकडून शिष्यत्व पत्करले होते.

भजन त्यांच्या आवडीचे असल्याने ते स्वत:भजन गात आणि इतरांकडुनही भजन करवुन घेत.ते तपसाधनेसाठी कुठेही गेले नाही घरातच तासन् तास ध्यानाला बसत.असे हे सिद्ध अवलिया जरी आज आपल्यात नसले तरी पिंगुळी गावी समाधी स्थानी नतमस्तक झाल्यावर त्यांचे चिरंतन अस्तित्व जाणवते.त्यांच्या पश्र्चात त्यांचे पुतणे अण्णा महाराज त्यांचे कार्य सांभाळतात.
