EMBRACE THE INFINITE

People feel so vulnerable and put up defenses. But putting up defenses is like walking out into the starry night and trying to wrap a little coat around vast infinite space.

The vastness just flies out through the arms and the hood. You have this silly little coat out in the vast space and protect yourself inside it and think maybe someday you will open the buttons and be spiritually liberated. Probably not. It's more likely that someday you will stop identifying with the silly little coat.

Free yourself of all limiting identities and embrace the infinite.

It is true that God is even in the tiger, but we must not go and face the animal. So it is true that God dwells even in the most wicked, but it is not meant that we should associate with the wicked.

Do not regret tamas,
but when sattva comes into play,
hold on to it....
and make the best of it.....

I don't want to fix you. I don't want to give you answers. I don't want to impress you. I don't want you to change.

I only want to meet you, exactly as you are, beyond your stories, your hopes and dreams, your games, your masks, here and now.

If you feel confused, feel confused now. If you feel frightened, feel frightened now. If you are bored, let's get bored together. If you are burning with rage, let's burn together awhile and see what happens. I want to meet what's really here.

Perhaps, then, great change is possible.

mowna is the highest form of upadesa. It signifies ‘silence’ as master, disciple and practiser. Three sanyasins, who were visiting Sri Bhagavan, began a discussion.
D.: If one remained quiet how is action to go on? Where is the place for karma yoga?
M.: Let us first understand what Karma is, whose Karma it is and who is the doer. Analysing them and enquiring into their truth, one is perforce obliged to remain as the Self in peace. Nevertheless the actions will go on.
D.: How will the actions go on if I do not act?
M.: Who asks this question? Is it the Self or another? Is the Self concerned with actions?
D.: No, not the Self. It is another, different from the Self.
M.: So it is plain that the Self is not concerned with actions and the question does not arise.

God wants you to know that you are not alone.

Our own fears and insecurities can make us feel that we are beyond help, beyond hope. Know that there is no place that far and that God is always with you.

There is a state beyond
effort and effortlessness..
Until it is realised effort is necessary....

The one who is awake to the true, they have no age. They are the eternal youth. They have no age. They’re not their minds. And even their minds cannot stay. If they go home, if they’re at home, the mind doesn’t want to be left out, he will come home also. For he cannot survive without you. You can be without him, but he cannot be without you. Cunning as he is, he’s smart enough to know. When you chose you, he must be with you.

"The knowledge ‘I am’ is the soul of the entire world.

The witness of the knowledge ‘I am’ is prior to the knowledge ‘I am’.

Try to understand yourself as you are,
do not add any qualifications."

~ Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

freedom

Freedom is knowing the self within your self.

I was a learned fool.
My flawed mind knew nothing till I came to dwell with him
whose glance filled my heart with the light of awareness.
Dwelling in that gracious state of peace,
whose nature is holy silence,
so hard to gain and know,
I entered into union with the deathless state
of the knowledge of reality.

(Muruganar - Sri Ramana Anubhuti)
