Siva is the ultimate and supreme reality, omniscient, omnipresent and unbound. He is Pati, the primal being and the supreme deity. Siva alone is the efficient cause of all creation, evolution, preservation, concealment and dissolution. He brings forth the worlds and their beings through his dynamic power, Shakti.

SHIVA- the infinite SPACE
ENERGY- un-manifested energy [consciousness]
MATTER-manifested energy {physical form}
Energy converts into matter and matter converts into energy, this is what we called as world (nature),SPACE the SHIVA (purusha) is the reason(mahakaarana) for it.
Can you escape from the impact of space? it's impossible, every moment space impacts energy and matter (cells, body, mind and every thing),every KARMA has its own result, one may be frequent another may be a bit late, that's all .every one should suffer the results of karma, that is why in BHAGAVATGEETA krisna tells us about NAISKARMA,
and YOGASTAHA KURU KARMANI

ENLIGHTENED SLEEP
Before Wisdom's Eye is opened, one thinks only in terms of the finality of death. But once the Eye is opened, one sees in the eternal brightness that the changing of the body is merely like a living person changing clothes.
Before the Eye is opened, one suffers the consequences of one’s karma and has no freedom; but once the Eye is opened, one comes to enjoy eternal happiness through the great freedom and great wisdom.
Without this enlightenment, however, people in our reality, no matter how wise or brilliant they appear to be, in fact know nothing. They are asleep, their minds are dark, they are like the dead.
But those who are enlightened are constantly bright, and they know no darkness whether awake or asleep. So you can tell if one is enlightened by his sleep.
A person may think he is the most enlightened in the world and he may think that he understands the Dharma fully; but if his sleep is filled with darkness, he is not enlightened. And this is what the ancient sages were most careful about.
Ven.Tong Songchol (1912~1993), one of the great Zen masters of Korea in the last century, was also called the ‘Living Buddha’.

Bhagavan: As often as one tries to surrender, the ego raises its head and one has to try to suppress it. Surrender is not an easy thing. Killing the ego is not an easy thing.
It is only when God Himself by His grace draws the mind inwards that complete surrender can be achieved. But such grace comes only to those who have already, in this or previous lives, gone through all the struggles and sadhanas preparatory to the extinction of the mind and killing of the ego.

Yogananda: Why does God permit suffering in the world? Should He not with His omnipotence do away with it at one stroke and ordain the universal realisation of God?

Maharshi: Suffering is the way for Realisation of God.

Yogananda: Should He not ordain it differently?

Maharshi: It is the way.

Yogananda: Are yoga, religion, etc., antidotes to suffering?

Maharshi: Who suffers? What is suffering?

Anything that you respond to is a
product of your mind.

It is your mind that becomes angry.
It is your mind that becomes stubborn.
It is your mind that wants to get even.
It is your mind that is hurt.

But if you subdue your mind, tell me,
where is the anger?
Where is the depression?
Where is the response to conditions?
There isn't any.

When the mind is subdued, there is only eternal peace and that peace is the self, consciousness.
Consciousness is always peaceful, always happy. It has nothing to do with conditions. All conditioning comes from the mind.

Therefore I say to you,
do not try to change conditions.
Do not try to change situations.
Simply learn how to control the mind by
making it passive and quiet, and then you will find that things turn out better for you than you can possibly ever hope for.

There are no problems.
There is nothing wrong.
Everything is unfolding as it should.
Everything happens in its own time.
Space and time are illusions.
They really do not exist. They're stationary. Causation doesn't exist either.
No thing has a cause, therefore no thing has an effect. Cause and effects are again products of your own mind.

When the mind is quiet, karma ceases.
Samsaras are non-existent.
There never was a cause for anything. But if you feel that in a previous life you did something wrong and now you are paying the price, or if you think that you did something wrong in this life and you’re paying the price, then you'll pay the price, because that's what you think.

There is virtually no price to pay, because nothing ever happened. If it appears to have happened to you then you have to go through the consequences of having the effect return, or karma will come back to you, because that's what you feel, that's what you believe. It's all in your feelings and your belief system.

But if you feel as if you're born at every moment, every moment becomes brand new.
Where is the effect?
There is no time for any effect.
There is no space in which to have the effect. Space and time and causation become one, the present moment. And if you feel like that then you can look into the future, which doesn't exist, and see what's happening. It all has to do with your mind. As long as you feel situations, you know it's your mind that's doing it.

ЁЯМ╖ The Collected Works of Robert Adams.

surrender

Swami Sambuddhananda of the Ramakrishna Mission remarked, “The bhakta requires a God to whom he can do bhakti. Is he to be taught that there is only the Self, not a worshipper and the worshipped?”
Bhagavan: Of course, God is required for sadhana. But the end of the sadhana, even in bhakti marga, is attained only after complete surrender. What does it mean, except that effacement of ego results in Self remaining as it always has been? Whatever path one may choose, the ‘I’ is inescapable, the ‘I’ that does the nishkama karma, the ‘I’ that pines for joining the Lord from whom it feels it has been separated, the ‘I’ that feels it has slipped from its real nature, and so on. The source of this ‘I’ must be found out. Then all questions will be solved. Whereas all paths are approved in the Bhagavad Gita, it says that the jnani is the best karma yogi, the best devotee or bhakta, the highest yogi and so on.”

The Swami still persisted, “It is all right to say Selfanalysis is the best thing to do. But in practice, we find a God is necessary for most people.”
Bhagavan: God is of course necessary, for most people. They can go on with one, till they find out that they and God are not different.

dispassion

What you need will come to you, if you do not ask for what you do not need.
Yet only few people reach this state of complete dispassion and detachment.
It is a very high state, the very threshold of liberation.

Nisargadatta Maharaj

Doer

As long as a man is the doer, he also reaps the fruit of his deeds, but, as soon as he realizes the Self through enquiry as to who is the doer his sense of being the doer falls away and the triple karma is ended. This is the state of eternal liberation.

Sri Ramana Maharshi

egoless state

THE EGOLESS STATE

The Sage is often loosely described as ‘one that knows the Self’. But this is not intended to be taken in a literal sense. It is a tentative description, intended for those that believe ignorance to be something that exists; they are told that this ignorance is to be got rid of by winning ‘Knowledge of the Self’. There are two misconceptions in this. One is that the Self is an object of knowledge. The other is that the Self is unknown, and needs to be known. The Self being the sole Reality, He cannot become an object of knowledge. Also being the Self, He is never unknown. The ancient lore tells us that He is neither known nor unknown, and the Sage confirms it.

How can this be? The Self is the pure ‘I AM’, the only thing that is self-manifest; by Its light all the world is lighted up. But It seems to be unknown, and to need to be known, because It is obscured by the world and the ego. What is needed is to remove these. The Sage explains this by the analogy of a room that is encumbered with unwanted lumber. If space be wanted, all that is needful is to clear out the lumber; no space has to be brought in from outside. So too, the ego-mind and its creations have to be emptied out, and then the Self alone would remain, shining without hindrance. What is loosely called ‘knowing the Self’ is really being egoless, and the Self. Thus the Sage does not know the Self; he is the Self.

being

What we truly ARE is the everlasting, unchanging moment which merely witnesses the play of changing relationships that we call life.

How can you find true happiness? For happiness, no positive action is necessary or even possible. Turn yourself inward as the pure, impersonal witness, and you will rest in your true BEINGNESS in utter peace and tranquility. Happiness will become irrelevant.

Destiny

Q: I can understand that the outstanding events in a man's life, such as his country, nationality, family, career or profession, marriage, death, etc., are all predestined by his karma, but can it be that all the details of his life, down to the minutest, have already been determined? Now, for instance, I put this fan that is in my hand down on the floor here. Can it be that it was already decided that on such and such a day, at such and such an hour, I should move the fan like this and put it down here?

Sri Ramana Maharshi : Certainly.

Whatever this body is to do and
whatever experiences it is to pass through
was already decided when it came into existence.

Q: What becomes then of man's freedom and responsibility for his actions?

Sri Ramana Maharshi:

The only freedom man has is to strive for and
acquire the jnana
which will enable him not to identify himself with the body.

The body will go through the actions
rendered inevitable by prarabdha and
a man is free either to identify himself with the body and
be attached to the fruits of its actions,
or to be detached from it and
be a mere witness of its activities.

Q: So free will is a myth?

Sri Ramana Maharshi :

Free will holds the field in association with individuality.
As long as individuality lasts there is free will.
All the scriptures are based on this fact and they advise directing the free will in the right channel.
Find out to whom free will or destiny matters.

Find out where they come from, and abide in their source.
If you do this, both of them are transcended.
That is the only purpose of discussing these questions.
To whom do these questions arise?
Find out and be at peace.

wisdom

The inherent wisdom is within.
With the urge for truth you will discover it.
It will destroy all delusion.
But in order for it to blossom and bloom, you must place your head at the feet of God, or dissolve your identity in unmixed consciousness. Your heart has to become wide and open, and filled with devotion, surrender and the urge for freedom.
Then that mighty power will arise.
It does not destroy; just in its presence all delusions disappear.

self

“Until you know who you are, all your knowledge is learned ignorance.
Nearly all mankind is more or less unhappy because nearly all do not know the true Self. Real happiness abides in Self-knowledge alone. All else is fleeting. To know one’s Self is to be blissful always.”
~ Ramana Maharshi

beyond mind and body

“Most human beings live like a bird in a cage whose door was blown away. Out of habit, too busy gold-plating the cage, they do not soar to the ultimate possibility.
If only there is a sufficient number of people whose experience of life goes beyond body and mind, this world will be a very different place.”
~ Sadhguru

Your whole idea about yourself is borrowed – borrowed from those who have no idea of who they are themselves.”

To be free from false identity and the hypnosis of conditioning is the biggest smile and joy you are going to feel in your life.
Blessed is the mind that jumps over and beyond its own conditioning and lands again into its natural state of unmoving awareness.”

“Your unhappiness ultimately arises not from the circumstances of your life but from the conditioning of your mind.
In you, as in each human being, there is a dimension far deeper than thought. It is the very essence of who you are. We may call it presence, awareness, the unconditioned consciousness.”
~ Eckhart Tolle

"Are you aware that you are conditioned?
Most people are second-hand human beings.
The truly religious man is he who, realizing his conditioning, is breaking through that conditioning.
As long as you remain within that field of the culture, of society, of greed, of envy, of achievement, you are not a free human being. You may think you have free will, but you are just part of this monstrous society, a conditioned human being."
~ Jiddu Krishnamurti

“Enlightenment means becoming unconditioned again, becoming a child again.
Your whole idea about yourself is borrowed – borrowed from those who have no idea of who they are themselves.”
~ Osho

“Many of our ideas and beliefs about ourselves and the world are so deeply ingrained that we are unaware that they are beliefs and take them, without question, for the absolute truth.
The belief that we were born, that we change, evolve, grow old and die is simply a belief to which the vast majority of humanity subscribes without realizing that they are doing so. It is the religion of our culture.
We take that which is unreal to be real and that which is real to be unreal.”
~ Rupert Spira

“Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.
What a sad era when it is easier to smash an atom than a prejudice.
What is right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right.
Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.”
~ Albert Einstein

“The mind must be emancipated from old habits, prejudices, restrictive thought processes and even ordinary thought itself.
The more aware you become, the more you shed from day to day what you have learned so that your mind is always fresh and uncontaminated by previous conditioning.
Conditioning obstructs our view of reality. We do not see it in its suchness because of our indoctrination, crooked and twisted.
A conditioned mind is never a free mind. Wipe away and dissolve all its experience and be "born afresh".
The unconditioned mind intuits truth.”
~ Bruce Lee

“When a man no longer confuses himself with the definition of himself that others have given him, he is at once universal and unique.”
~ Alan Watts

“Nature is busy creating absolutely unique individuals, whereas culture has invented a single mold to which all must conform. It is grotesque.
It would be more interesting to learn from children, than try to teach them how to behave, how to live and how to function.”
~ U. G. Krishnamurti
