dream

The world vision which appears in the waking state and the world vision which appears in the dream state are both the same. There is not even a trace of a difference. The dream state happens merely to prove the unreality of the world which we see in the waking state. This is one of the operations of God's grace.

Sri Ramana Maharshi

self

There is a stage in the beginning, when you identify yourself with the body, when you are still having the body-consciousness. At that stage, you have the feeling you are different from the reality or God, and then it is, you think of yourself as a devotee of God or as a servant or lover of God. This is the first stage. The second stage is when you think of yourself as a spark of the divine fire or a ray from the divine Sun. Even then there is still that sense of difference and the body-consciousness. The third stage will come when all such difference ceases to exist, and you realise that the Self alone exists.

Beingness

“Anything can come, but the beingness is not moved. It is not an object, to be moved by the winds of thought. And when you see that anything can come, but nothing can move you, a new confidence is present.” -Mooji

quotes 1.2

'It's Nothing, Nothing, Nothing'

Whatever is coming up in your mind,
it's rubbish! It's nothing!
It has no contribution to anything.

We have grown up too much with
the junk food of this kind of culture,
of thinking too much about life.
'What are we going to do?'
It's nothing!

It has never contributed anything here! [in the heart] None of this has ever done it. OK?

Give peace a chance.
Give emptiness a chance.
You have never done this.
For everything that comes in here,
your mantra from Mooji is: 'Nothing!'
It's nothing, nothing, nothing!

"When one abides as the Self,

All actions then take place spontaneously, and are performed very efficiently,
without any mental effort or activity."

======================
When you meditate,
the ego rises
and you become the meditator.

In this process,
you objectify Reality,
which is actually who YOU truly are.

So the best meditation is
to simply keep quiet here.
Don't follow any thought
and don't activate the mind.
This is true meditation.

Knowing that you are meditating
is not true meditation.

When you keep quiet here,
there is no meditator.

There is nothing to achieve in the future,
because everything is already here.
The meditator rises from here.

When you keep quiet that is no meditator,
no meditation and no object of meditation.

This is Existence-Consciousness-Bliss Itself.
It is in this instant, in this space,
It is who you are, desireless, Perfect Self.

In the twinkling of an eye you are free!

Q:- What is the goal of life ? Work or God realization ?
Shri Ramakrishna :- Work is only the first step. It can never be the goal of life. Devote yourself to spiritual practice and go forward. Through practice you will advance more and more in the path of God. At last you will come to know that God alone is real and all else is illusory, and that the goal of life is the attainment of God.

Silence is another name for God. Quietness is a name for consciousness, peace. Everything is found in the silence and not too much in the words. In quietness, you should try to be quiet for as long as you can, especially when you are at home. Try to sit in the silence and quietness for as long as you can. It's in the silence where you will receive the message. It's in the silence where pure awareness reveals itself to you. Never be afraid to sit in the silence. It's your greatest asset.

THE EGOLESS STATE

That the One Self alone is true, and all else is superimposed on It by ignorance, has been clearly stated by the Sage in many ways, and on many occasions. The Self is the Real Consciousness, and the persons and things of the world appear by the ascription of names and forms to It.

This is expressed in the following: “The Self who is Consciousness is alone real, and nothing else. All so-called knowledge, which is manifold, is only ignorance. This ignorance is unreal, since it has no existence of its own, apart from the Consciousness which is the Self, just as the unreal jewels made of gold have no existence apart from the real gold. ( Ulladu Narpadu verse 13 )

Consciousness that is the Self, plus the names and forms created by the mind. These names and forms, says the Sage, are unreal, like the names and forms imposed on gold, calling it ‘jewels’, when in fact it is gold all the time. It is to be noted that the Sage purposely employs the word ‘unreal’ and ‘real’ to qualify ‘jewels’ and ‘gold’. Jewels are not commonly thought of as unreal. But here the purpose is to illustrate the unreality of the manifold knowledge, which is the world. The words are put in here, to make the parallelism complete and accurate. If these words were not there, some misguided disciple would twist the meaning and make it out that the Sage teaches the reality of names and forms.
