If you make human company too important
you will not discover your true Self.
Relationships not based in truth

*निर्भयता से स्वयं के मन को एकांत में जानने की कोशिश*
आधा घंटे के लिए कम से कम रोज, मन जैसा है उसको वैसा ही सहज रूप से प्रकट होने का मौका देना चाहिए। बंद कर लें उस सम्राट की तरह एक कमरे में अपने को, और मन में जो भी उठता हो उसे मुक्त कर दें और उससे कहें कि जो भी तुझे सोचना है और जो भी तुझे विचारना है, वह सब उठने दें। सारा सेंसर जो हम बिठाए हुए हैं अपने ऊपर कि कोई चीज बाहर न निकल आए, वह सब छोड़ दें। और मन को एक फ्रीडम, एक मुक्ति दे दें कि जो भी उठता हो उठे, जो भी प्रकट होना चाहता हो प्रकट हो। न तो हम कुछ दबाके, न हम कुछ रोकेंगे। हम तो यह जानने को तत्पर हुए हैं कि भीतर क्या है! बुरे और भले का निर्णय भी नहीं करना है,क्योंकि निर्णय करते ही दमन शुरू हो जाता है। जिस चीज को आप बुरा कहते हैं उस चीज को मन दबाने लगता है और जिसको आप अच्छा कहते हैं उसको ओढ़ने लगता है।
तो न तो बुरा कहना है, न भला कहना है। जो भी है मन में, जैसा भी है, उसे वैसा ही जानने के लिए हमारी तैयारी होनी चाहिए। तो इस भांति अगर मन को पूरा मुक्त छोड़ दिया जाए और वह जो भी सोचना चाहता हो, वह जो भी विचारना चाहता हो, जिन भी भावों में बहना चाहता हो, उनमें उसे बहने दिया जाए। बहुत घबड़ाहट होगी, लगेगा कि हम पागल हैं क्या?
लेकिन जो भीतर छिपा है, उसे जान लेना अत्यंत जरूरी है, उससे मुक्त हो जाने के लिए। उससे मुक्त हो जाने के लिए पहली बात उसकी जानकारी और उसकी पहचान है। और उसकी पहचान न हो, उसकी जानकारी न हो, तो जिस शत्रु को हम जानते नहीं उससे हम जीत भी नहीं सकते हैं। उससे जीतने का कोई रास्ता नहीं है। छिपा हुआ शत्रु, पीठ के पीछे खड़ा हुआ शत्रु खतरनाक है उस शत्रु से जो आख के सामने हो, जिससे हम परिचित हों, जिसे हम पहचानते हों।
पहली बात है, मन के ऊपर से सारा सेंसर, सारा प्रतिबंध, जो हमने लगा रखा है सब तरफ से कि मन को हम कहीं उसकी सहजता में प्रकट नहीं होने देते। मन की जितनी स्पांटेनिटी है, जितनी सहजता है, सब रोक रखी है। सब असहज हो गया है, सब झूठा कर डाला है, सब पर्दे ओढ़ लिए हैं, सब झूठे मुंह पहन लिए हैं, और कहीं से भी उसकी सीधी बात को हम प्रकट नहीं होने देते। तो उसे उसकी सीधी बात में प्रकट होने देना, अपने सामने कम से कम शुरू में, ताकि हम परिचित हो सकें एक—एक अंश से मन के, जो भीतर छिपे हैं और दबा दिए गए हैं।
मन का बहुत हिस्सा अंधकार में दबाया हुआ है। वहां हम कभी दीया नहीं ले जाते। अपने ही घर के बाहर के बरामदे में जीते हैं, भीतर के सारे कमरों में अंधकार छाया हुआ है और वहां कितने कीड़े—मकोड़े और कितने जाल और कितने सांप—बिच्छू इकट्ठे हो गए हैं, इसका कोई सवाल नहीं। अंधकार में वे इकट्ठे हो ही जाते हैं। और हम डरते हैं वहां रोशनी ले जाने से कि हमारा घर ऐसा है, यह हम सोचना भी नहीं चाहते, यह हम कल्पना भी नहीं करना चाहते। यह भय छोड़ देना अत्यंत आवश्यक है साधक के लिए।
मस्तिष्क, मन और विचारों के जगत में क्रांति लाने के लिए पहला काम है, वह भय छोड़ कर, निर्भय होकर स्वयं को जानने के लिए तैयार हो जाए।
