Be as u are

Question: How to stop thinking?

Papaji: By Being! (giggles)
When you think that you are an object, a person,
a body, or some other idea,
but by Being there is nothing !
Just Being.
And Being is already there.
You are always Being.

To become something you must meditate and
perform some mantra, ritual, practice.
Just to Be is simple.
Without Being you can't do any practice.
So don't think of anything else.
Just Be!
It is so easy to Be.

Question: But when I try to just be, so much thinking happens.
I am sure everyone has this problem.

Papaji: Thinking happens when you want to become something.
Then you must think.
But to not become something what is there to do?
Stay as you are!
Be as you are in whatever circumstances, just always Be,
It doesn't need any practice.

Whatever you get by practice you will lose,
but Being will never be lost
because you will not get it by any experience or practice.

It simply is, Simply Be.
Don't stir your mind in Being,
don't think and
don't make effort.

I will tell you how to be Being itself.
No effort, no thinking.
Avoid thinking and avoid not thinking.
What is between these two?

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

How to experience the Self?

Be still, quiet, that's how, nothing else.
Quiet your mind that is all you have to do.
This alone will awaken you.
But by thinking, thinking, constantly thinking and
trying to change things,
trying to make things your way,
trying to acquire knowledge you'll never awaken,
you'll never be awakened.

Know this once and for all.
The only way you will ever awaken is through the silence,
not through analyzation of facts.
Not by sorting out good and bad,
but through simple silence, letting go.
Letting go of all thoughts, all the hurts,
all the dogmas and concepts.
Letting go of these things daily.

When you think about the mind,
when you're thinking about the thoughts
then you're giving it energy.
When you just observe and just watch and
leave it alone and do nothing
where does the energy come from?
There is no energy to give it.
So you ignore the mind by observing it
Then you will find out that there is no mind.

You've been wasting your time for years observing something
that doesn't exist.
So why would you want to do that?
All this talk about observing minds, watching minds.
The truth is there is nothing to watch, there is nothing to observe.
I'm just sitting here telling you these things
because you want to hear me talk.
But there is nothing to do.
There is nothing to observe,
there is nothing to watch.
Who watches, who observes?

The one who believes they are a body, a doer.
When you get rid of the misconceptions you're a doer or a watcher
you'll have nothing to watch and nothing to do.
But as long as you believe that you are the doer
then you will think of all kinds of practices that you want to do.
You'll practice yoga meditation, japa, mantra, pranayama.
You do all of these things because you think you are the doer.
But when the realization comes to you that
you're not the doer then you do not have to do anything,
there is nothing to do.

So know the truth about yourself.
I am not the doer therefore I have absolutely nothing to do.
I'm at peace with myself and the whole universe and all is well.
You see my friends nothing really exists.
You don't exist, I don't exist nothing really exists.
Everything is an illusion.
Everything is an appearance.
It appears to exist but it doesn't exist.
Everything that you see is hallucination.
You've been hallucinating for years.
It's time you stopped.

Enquiry into Consciousness

When you become habitually introverted the enjoyment of spiritual beautitude becomes a normal experience. ~ Ramana

Bhagavan in Guru Vachaka Kovai:
Enquiry into Consciousness
417 Only those who, through consciousness, know Siva as the form of the extremely pure consciousness in the Heart, the golden temple of consciousness, are worshipping truth, because consciousness indeed is the supreme reality.
Bhagavan in Padamalai:
Worship of consciousness is getting firmly established in consciousness, with the mind disconnecting itself from other things.
The state in which consciousness does not desire the non-Self is worship of the Self without being separate from it.
Other than consciousness, the pure clarity in which excellence flourishes, there is no God who is worthy of being worshipped.
Padamalai, p. 92, w. 54, 55, 56.
